“Bishwa Ijtema 2013” will be started at 11th January

The second Muslims congregation of the world is Bishwa Ijtema which is going to be held from 11th January in 2013. The organizing committee of this event decided that It will be held from January 11-13, and January 18-20 in two phases on the bank of River Turag at Tongi, adjacent to Uttara Model Town in Dhaka. This is the fixed venue for this event so it is popularly known as Tongi or Dhaka Ijtema.
From the 2011, Ijtema occur in two shifts. The 1st phase of the 3-day Bishwa Ijtema of that year ended on 15th January. The 2nd phase ended on 22nd January, which began on Friday after a break of four days of the 1st congregation. In each phase Muslims running into millions of 32 districts making a total 64 districts of Bangladesh attended.
It is the most attractive muslims gathering after Hajj. After Tongi, the 2nd biggest Ijtema is held at Bhupal in India and the 3rd at Raybende in Pakistan. The maximum number of overseas devotees joins the Tongi Bishwa Ijtema in Bangladesh. Not only the Muslims but also many Non muslim are come from various countries including Pakistan, China, Oman, Sri Lanka, USA, Malaysia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Europe etc to join this occasion.
The main attraction of Tongi Ijtema is the final prayer (Akheri Munajat). It is held at the end of every phase of the yearly congregation. Nobody wants to lose this period. In this time they seek endless mercy of Allah guiding to the right path for good herein and hereafter. All of the participated people pray to the almighty for the happiness of all mankind. The Akheri Munajat regulated by a renowned Mawlana (Lecturer) who may come from foreign country including India or Pakistan.The same incidence may be held in the ijtema 2013.
